One Game, Many Releases

Recently our archivist Natalia met Mike Dailly, one of the creators behind the classic game Lemmings.

Mike has an impressive collection of different releases of the original game. His collection inspired us to take a closer look at the Lemmings titles preserved here at Embracer Games Archive.

Back at the archive, Natalia gathered many of the versions in our collection so we could see them together. With so many different editions in one place, we also took the opportunity to photograph them.

The image shows most of the Lemmings releases currently held in the archive, covering a wide range of platforms, regions and editions.

A single game can appear in many different forms over time. Preserving these variations helps document not only the game itself, but also how it was published, distributed and experienced around the world.
