Current Status of the Games Archive

As the Games Archive continues to expand, the level of detail required in how we care for and document each object is increasing. We are now entering a phase where long‑term quality, accuracy, and consistency are central to our work.

• The archive currently holds around 90,000 objects
• Our focus is on detailed handling and documentation of each item
• Objects are carefully cleaned and photographed in high resolution to capture their full contents, strengthening the archive’s database as a reliable and valuable resource

This work forms an important foundation for future access and use. Over time, our ambition is to make the archive’s database publicly accessible, supporting research, preservation, and collaboration.
